Trent Bank Pond Junior Coaching
The pond will be used for junior coaching sessions on
Saturday afternoons between 12 noon and 6pm.
All members are requested not to use the
South and West bank between the above times
from July Saturday 31st through
until August 28th. Signs will be
posted at the pond but please tell your
friends without internet access to save them
a wasted journey.
Thanks Stu
West Marsh Fishery
It was brought to my attention today by the owner of
West Marsh Fishery that one of our senior
members was using loud, foul mouthed
language which was clearly heard across the
whole complex, including Mrs Fox in their
garden. This type of language is not to be
tolerated and anyone using it will be asked
to leave. Please respect that the family
home is close by and neither them nor their
grand children want to hear such words.
Thank you Stu

The Chairman Reports from Flixborough
I fished here today and had one
of the best Ide I've ever seen, let alone
caught. I didn't weigh it but it was a good
14" long. This was only one of a mixed bag
of no less than 7 different species of fish,
Tench, Bream, Roach, Rudd, Ide, Carp, and
Perch. Some of the Bream were genuine silver
Bream, with bigger eyes, so that is more
like 8 species. It is a fantastic venue.
Please watch the banks though as they are
very steep and you can lose your footing if
not careful.
HOWEVER.......... After clearing away I went
for my usual stroll around the place and
collected a broken folding, camouflaged,
camping chair that someone had chosen to
leave behind rather than taking it home and
disposing of it themselves! This is one of
those sort with four legs and cloth arms
with an inset net drinks holder. It is quite
possible that someone has seen someone
fishing at the venue recently in such a
chair. I would think they would be on or
near the sand bank end or 'tractor peg',
furthest from the village. If any one knows
who left this chair if they let me know who
it was I shall see to it that they are
banned from the club. Also, as a reward, the
club shall refund the membership fee of
whoever can lead us to the culprit !! This
sort of behaviour is absolutely not
acceptable and is a sign of sheer ignorance,
nonchalance, disrespect, and arrogance. Some
people just do not deserve to be allowed
near the countryside at all.
Please help.

One
of the Junior Coaching Sessions Success
Stories
The photo showing the fish caught using the
skills Jake has learned from the Pisces
coaching sessions with Hugh and Andy during
his two, 8 week courses and his progress
from skimmers and the odd 1lb fish to this
lovely net.
I do know how proud I am of his progress and
he is equally pleased with all he has
learned and as a parent, I feel the sessions
do more than teach kids to fish, it is more
about the social skills and responsibility
they learn toward the environment as a
whole. (and getting them off the X-box)
Jake is keen to progress as he gets older
and we have already spoken about him taking
his coaching certification when he can.
He is also looking to produce some venue
reports on the Pisces waters now that we
hold a full family membership and wishes to
send them in to IYCF or the Angling times
When he catches some more on the Pisces
waters I will update you.
Thanks again, Regards Phil

Thornton Abbey Junior Finals
A hot afternoon saw all the youngsters fighting the
heat and a plenty of fish. Although it was
quite weedy all the lads managed to catch
well throughout the session. Match
winner of this session was Thomas Anderson
with a well earned 4lb+ of Rudd and
Skimmers. All agreed it had been well
worthwhile coaching session. Each finalist
received a certificate, £10 voucher and
prizes very kindly donated.. more details to

SLABS
The club have been offered a large amount of slabs,
both 3 by 2's and 18 inch.
We would really appreciate the help from
any member with access to a trailer willing
to collect these slabs in Scunthorpe (area)
and deliver to Flixborough.
MEMBERSHIPS and LICENCES
It is YOUR responsibility to carry your membership
book AND rod licence at all times while
fishing our venues. All our bailiffs
will ask you to leave if you are found
fishing without either, added to this the
Environment Agency's bailiffs are being
active in this area, a fine of £500 and
another of £150 were issued, it isn’t worth
the risk. The penalty can be up to £2000

Torn Bank Fishery
Right guys, here’s your chance to win a season permit
to Torn Bank Fishery. All you have to do is
enter your bids on the forum, or if you
prefer to keep it confidential; you can PM
me or Kev with your bids in total privacy.
Due to the very poor turnout at the
Pisces fund raising event at Mill Rd Club I
have decided to auction this prize off to
get a bit more cash for Big Bash.
This permit runs from 1st July 2010 to 30th
June 2011 so you could fish every day FREE
for almost 350 days. Normally £5.00 a day.
This is a cracking water with excellent
access, toilets, inc a disabled loo. This
would make a belting gift for any angler but
anyone in the Belton, Sandtoft area could
almost live there.
Get bidding – Auction must end 10pm

Pisces Mill Road Night Out
A moan from me, in my public relations seat;
I must write and say how very disappointed I
was with the total lack of interest by all
our club members. This night out was
organised with the intention of a good
gathering of like minded associates, giving
us all the chance to put faces to names,
have a few cheap drinks, chat about fishing
and enjoy the Pisces club for what we try
and make it, sociable, fun, enjoyable club.
Once again hardly anyone from the club could
be bothered to attend. This just follows on
from the lack of attendances at club meeting
and working parties. There was a lot of
preparation getting this event sorted out
for you all and it appears no-one
appreciates it. The few Pisces members I did
see at the event (counting on one hand) were
entertained with live modern rock music from
Zero Hour; these young lads were fantastic
musicians and a name to watch out for in the
future, then Mel Oliver and his Gang who
played 60’s and 70’s stuff and got the dance
floor moving. Many thanks to both bands for
their support. Other special thanks must go
to:
Mill Road Club for the free use of the
venue, Zero Hour who performed for free, Mel
Oliver and his gang also,
Torn Bank fisheries for the donation of a
yearly ticket up for auction, In & Out garages
for the platinum card for auction and
everyone else that helped raise money on the
night with our close friend and club
champion Kevin Allen with his Big Bash
Breast Cancer Charity.

Ingham Bailiff Report
After requests from members to be able to
access Ingham pond from the Fillingham side,
I have spoken to the owners who, after a
great deal of deliberation, have asked that
access be restricted to the short lane route
only for the time being.
There was a chain across the Fillingham lane
entrance and our members are NOT permitted
beyond here.
On a better note, the owners have reported
that there have been no more complaints
about speeding cars. An excellent result and
a credit to our all members who've been to
Ingham especially those who have taken the
time and trouble to stop and talk to the
locals and reassure them of the clubs
intentions. Long may it continue. Thank you
Ron Fox

INGHAM SPEEDING CAR
I have been asked by one of our members to appeal to
anyone in the Ingham lake area to come
forward and give the club details of an
incident where a car drove at speed while
leaving the lake, running over another
anglers fishing gear. Our angler was just
packing his gear away and had placed some of
his stuff near his car including his £2,000
Pole, while he went to collect the last few
bits. He said, “all I heard was a loud car
then a ‘smashing’ sound, I looked round to
see a cloud of dust and maybe a Silver car
speeding off”. If you hear of anything
please report it to the club. Thanks Stu

Alderfen Fishery
Promo by Stu-Art
I went to Alderfen fishery today by special
invitation and had a fantastic day. Plenty
of Tench to 6lb, Bream to 4lb, Carp up to
8lb plus lots of Roach. Waggler worked fine
for me with pellets, corn, meat and bread.
My father used pole tactics with pellet and
corn for some nice Carp, Bream, plenty of
smaller Tench in the morning while it was
cloudy and Roach every chuck using corn
later in the day. Keep the feed going in and
you will bag-up. It is a beautiful fishery
and is open for you to fish now on day
ticket at £5.00
but please keep an eye
out on the site for updates as I am trying
to negotiate a deal for Pisces members.
Have a look at Alderfen

Bigger on 1st July 2010, one of 5 caught

Lady Pitt Farm
I have just been informed by the fishery manager at
Lady Pitt that the top meadow has now been
harvested and we have access to the full
length of the club stretch. Please drive
slowly to avoid causing any problems.
Also PLEASE NOTE there is strictly NO night
fishing,
11pm to 4am is considered to be the night in
summer.

Ingham Lake
The club have received a call from the owners of
Ingham Lake. Although the season is only 6
days old they have already had complaints
from the general public about the speed of
vehicles been driven down the lane to our
water and it looks like the Parish council
may also be getting involved. The lane is a
public right of way and the owners have
asked that speed is limited to 5 mph to
avoid conflict with walkers. If the
complaints continue then there is obviously
the possibility of losing the water which
I'm sure no-one wants.
We would appreciate it if all members will
pass it on the message to friends/colleagues
who may not have Internet access.
Thanks
Ron

Thieves Target Pisces Club
The Pisces Angling club have been targeted
by thieves at their Trentside Pond on Black
Bank Rd, near Messingham. Although the club
has a combination lock (known only to club
members) on the gate, someone has gained
access and stolen a large number of
scaffolding poles from the picturesque
angling venue. The scaffolding poles were
purchased only 2 weeks ago especially for
building disabled fishing platforms. The
club is keen to promote fishing for all and
creating safe access for disabled anglers is
top priority. A spokesman for the club said,
“we can only assume it must be a club member
that knows the combination number that has
stolen the scaffolding poles, some of the
poles were 13ft long”. The Pisces club is
offering a reward to anyone providing
information about the theft or return of
these much needed poles. Thanks Stu

Do you fancy doing some Tuition River
Fishing ?
From one of our Pisces
members:-
I've taken up fishing again after a gap of
over 25 years. Earlier this year I joined
the Pisces Club and I have tried several of
your waters, mostly lakes which I have
enjoyed. Being brought up on the Welland
and Nene at Peterborough I am looking
forward to the new season on your river
waters as well.
Unfortunately although I have tried hard I
do not seem to catch much, no doubt through
lack of experience. I was therefore
wondering if you are aware of any older
gentlemen (I am over 50 myself) say that may
have transport problems and not able to get
about much that I could team up.
Kind regards John
If you could
offer this man some time and assistance,
please contact me.

Please again I must remind all anglers,
the field at Blyton does get water-logged
after heavy rain.
Some of our members continue to

cut up the grass or even get stuck. If
this was your lawn you wouldn't do it so
please treat it respectfully. Leave you
vehicles on the hard standing, either just
inside or outside the gate.

There are now 8 (yes Eight) Bailiffs covering our
Trent waters in the Newark area, paying
special attention to Lady Pitt. These men
will take no fuss and a Zero tolerance
policy will be enforced. You must carry your
membership book AND your NRA rod licence at
all times, failure to produce either on the
spot will result in you being evicted.. no
arguments. The team of Bailiffs will work
closely with the farm manager and they will
work a rota system so you will at least one
(or they will see you) while you are there.
The bailiffs will scrutinize our venues 24
hours a day and anyone found illegally
fishing, camping or poaching will be dealt
with appropriately.

A.G.M. Report
At
the AGM, held on Monday 7th June, 2010, at
The Priory Pub, Ashby Road, Scunthorpe, the
same committee were elected unopposed.
A
brief report was heard from the secretary
regarding the finances and from the
fisheries officer with regard to the current
portfolio of waters and immediate plans. The
financial report reflected the club policy
of investing all of it's assets back into
the club for the benefit of the members.
Without advertising exact details of the
club's affairs to all and sundry a résumé
would show that the club spent over £12000
on stock alone last year and also invested
almost £3000 in the training of it's own
dedicated coaches.
There was also a report from the head coach
regarding the ongoing programme of working
with schools, various funding agencies, the
Environment Agency, Angling Development
board, and the local authority in the
delivery of coaching sessions to local
youngsters. It was reported that the club is
now well served with it's own dedicated
coaching team and had been noted by the
various agencies that the club is now
operating at a level almost unparalleled,
especially in this area, in that respect
with no fewer than five level 2 coaches in
the pipeline and a further 2 at level 1.
That the club has achieved such professional
results within it's first year of coaching
is a credit to all involved in the
programme, especially those who have put
themselves forward to devote the time and
effort needed to achieve their coaching
certificates and qualifications.
The
club rules were discussed at length as a
degree of conflict and confusion had crept
in over the years with differing rules being
highlighted on the membership books, the
website, and the constitution.
In
order to clarify the position the rules as
recorded in the current club membership
books were debated and all are to continue
after a vote of all those present at the
meeting.
A
few new rules were also debated and those
which were considered necessary to introduce
were also voted on by the members present.
A
total ban on dogs at ALL VENUES was
introduced. This is as declared on the
membership books but was one of the rules
contradicted by other media.
A
total ban on night fishing is to continue at
ALL VENUES.
Anglers are now only allowed to fish from
one designated peg or station at the
fisheries.
A 2
rod maximum per angler was introduced. It
was underlined that the law of the land also
dictates that where two rods are used their
butts must not be more than 3 metres apart.
It
was debated that there should be a ban on
keepnets other than in matches. There was a
very narrow majority vote in favour of the
ban but the committee felt that the
extremely poor turnout of members for the
AGM could not reflect the true wishes of the
membership and the rule was rejected across
the board, BUT it was decided that the
committee had a right, and some would argue
a duty, to ban keepnets at any venue where
circumstances where their use was causing
problems. So, although the rule was rejected
there is, never the less, an immediate ban
on keepnets at Thornton Abbey except during
matches. The ban on keepnets at Lady Pitt
Farm shall also continue. Appropriate
signage shall eventually be erected at the
relevant fisheries.
The
date of future AGM's was also brought
forward to the first Monday in FEBRUARY.
This move shall allow for any new decisions,
rulings, fisheries, etc, to be implicated
and announced prior to the publication of
the new membership books.
A
future increase in membership fees to allow
for fishery maintenance to be undertaken by
commercial contractors in view of the poor
turnout at work parties was deferred until
the next AGM although it was felt that such
an increase, which will be restricted to an
increase of only £5, was justified and would
greatly assist the club with trying to keep
on top of the 30 or more fisheries it now
has at it's disposal.
All
in all, with only 25 people, including the
committee, attending the meeting it was a
pretty poor show and a sad indictment of the
interest shown by the majority in club
affairs. That said, those who did attend
indicated that there are still, fortunately,
those who are prepared to give a little in
order to maintain a better club and
facilities for the membership.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Keepnets
The club have been made aware of dozens of dead
Rudd/Roach in the lake margins. This can be
as a result of them being kept in keepnets
for far too long and undergoing too much
stress. We must request that if you need to
put fish in a keepnet, then please release
them carefully and do not retain them for
more than 4 hours. Make sure your keepnet is
fully extended so the fish have plenty of
room to swim and breath. Afterwards, do not
tumble the fish down your net but let them
swim out in the water by lowering the top
end then working the fish along in the net
in the water.
If keepnets remain a problem this could turn
into a blanket ban on their use on all our
waters,
except during matches.
If you must take photographs, do this quickly and
then submerge your net allowing the fish to
swim away. Do not tip them back in. Stress
is a major factor in fish deaths and
unhooking your fish carefully will also help
relieve excess stress. If the fish is deep
hooked, please do not attempt to push the
disgorger too deep but instead cut the
hook-length off and let the fish go to save
un-necessary harm.
Never hold fish in any form of cloth material, wet or
dry; as this can remove too much natural
protection and scales on some species.
These are your fish so treat them with respect and
thereby enjoy them for years to come. Thanks
Stu

A Tribute to Geoff Woodcock
Many anglers, especially the youngsters
brought into the sport in recent years, will
note with much regret, the sad and untimely
death of Geoff Woodcock, the first of the
NFA qualified Angling Tutors in the area.
Geoff had his own style of getting the
message over to the youngsters, and he was
very articulate in obtaining necessary
funding. The fact that many of the present
day young anglers are more advanced than
those of later generations is a tribute to
his dedicated tutoring.
Much sympathy to his wife and family. Mr.
Tom Wilson (Scunthorpe Telegraph)
14th May 2010
Deepest Sympathy
It is with regret that the committee
announce the untimely death of Geoff
Woodcock aged only 46 years. Geoff was a
founder member of the Scunthorpe Police
fishing club, the fore-runner of the current
Pisces Club, and the secretary of the club
at the time when it reverted from restricted
membership for police staff only to open
club membership. Geoff was also a staunch
match angler in the days when Scunthorpe
Police Team were a force to be reckoned with
even on a national level. He was undoubtedly
the pioneer of junior coaching in this area
when 'Get Hooked On fishing' was initially
introduced and was responsible for conning,
cajoling, or persuading, a number of local
anglers to become NFA coaches. Geoff oversaw
a large number of local juniors not only
into angling generally but into the local
match scene. Geoff was a strong character
and his contribution to the local angling
scene will be missed and his dedication will
be extremely difficult to replace. Our
thoughts and prayers are with his family:
Corinne, Liam, Briony.

PISCES in SCHOOLS Newsletter
A group of pupils from Baysgarth School have
taken part in a fishing project to introduce
them to the sport of fishing, develop their
skills and provide a positive activity for
them to take part in.
The project was funded by Community Counts
and organized in partnership with the
Police, BSSP and Scunthorpe Pisces Angling
Club who delivered the coaching over 8
Saturdays at a pond in Barrow Heaven.
Upon completion of the 8 weeks the pupils
now have the required skills to be able to
fish on their own. The last session
culminated in a fishing match over 2.5hours
to see who caught the most fish, the winner
caught 2.5lbs!
The Mayor of North Lincolnshire attended to
give out certificates and a token for
reduced membership for the pupils and their
family to join the club so they can continue
to develop their new skills. Each pupil also
received a goody bag full of fishing
freebies including their very own rod!
The club has applied for additional funding
from Sports Unlimited to run more fishing
projects across North Lincolnshire. We hope
to start the next round by May, possibly
using a pond in Thornton.
If you would like more information on
Scunthorpe Pisces Angling club please see: www.scunthorpepoliceangling.co.uk
In the future we hope
to hold angling schools competitions and
tolook at bringing angling in to the
curriculum to help teach environmental
awareness. If your school would like to be
involved with angling then please register
your interest with:-

Less Working Parties
Due to the lack of support by our members on
working parties, (only 4 turned up at the
recent one on Sunday 25th April).
We are considering paying private
contractors to keep our fisheries clean,
tidy and always ready to fish. This
obviously will be expensive and the club
will have to pass on this cost in membership
fees. With a membership in excess of 1500 it
was hoped that a bigger percentage would
help the club. We are obviously living in an
age now when only the elite few give any
care about the up-keep and tidiness of our
countryside. One person has been to every
working party this year and others have
turned up if available but we need more
support to keep our venues in top condition,
free from little and vegetation under
control, so from next year we will be
charging £35.00 per book unless more current
members do their bit to help out in their
free time. Please contact the club with your
views. By post, email or forum. Thank you

sessions came to an end. What a fabulous day
it was too. All the young anglers had their

presented with Certificates by N.L.C. Mayor
Cllr Sue Armitage. Also goody bags,
kindly donated by Brian Skoyles (Daiwa), and bait from Yorkshire

accessories were given to them from the club
as an encouragement to keep fishing.
Refreshments were enjoyed by everyone and

Big Vote of Thanks from Pisces
All of us in the Pisces Club would like to
express our deepest thanks to both the
Angling Times
and
Yorkshire Baits
for the generosity and kindness in the form
of free bait, prizes and support with our
ongoing junior angling sessions. We are
delighted with all the feedback and overall
outcome so far. All the youngsters have
thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The weather
has not always been very kind but the
wettest of days were brightened by the
smiling faces of youngsters catching plenty
of fish, most of them have never fished
before so we hope they enjoy this great
sport for years to come. The club hopes to
push this scheme on much further to involve
as many schools, clubs and individuals over
the coming years and your support is very
much appreciated.
Thanks also to all helpers and coaches.
Kindest regards Stuart and Committee

around as well. See waters page (Thornton

A GENERAL FISHERY NOTICE
As you all should be aware fish infections
can be devastating to any fishery, no matter
how large or small. the best way to prevent
disease spreading from one fishery to
another is by making sure ALL your nets are
thoroughly dried out between sessions. Many
commercial fisheries provide nets dips or
even insist that you use their own
nets. The Pisces club requests you adopt
good fishery practice to help keep all our
waters disease free.
Please dry your nets.
Thanks Stu

Haven Trent Pond
The Pond was closed all day Wednesday 31st.
Hard work by a solitary diver, a man on the
bank (whom also went swimming - oops) and 2
other assistants cleared out many trees from
the west bank. It was a freezing cold windy
day but the men toiled away for hours. The
club would like to extend it's thanks to all
that laboured so hard. Thanks Stu

Dunholme Pond
It has been brought to our attention that
some anglers are blocking the public access
with vehicles. Please do not obstruct any
paths or access around the pond. Park
sensibly allowing plenty of room at all
times. Thanks Stu

Lady Pitt Farm
A day fishing totally
ruined by yet another selfish member of our
club. Why oh why do some people think they
can drive through mud and then expect
everyone to help dig them out? Even leaving
car mats and a rod holdall that he used to
put under his tyres. The farm owner is now
blocking off all vehicular access to our
members so everyone will have to walk to the
lower pegs. If you know the name of the
person who thinks he is better than everyone
else by driving along the bridleway and thus
leaving 10 inch dangerous ruts then please
let the committee know. We need to take
action to prevent this behaviour and secure
our lease at Lady Pitt. Don't let one fool
spoil it for hundreds of sensible, keen
anglers. THANK
YOU

LOUTH CANAL MANAGER
The club would greatly appreciate anyone in
the Louth area, preferably someone with
plenty of free time willing to become a
manager/bailiff for the Louth Canal. After
our recent request we had a fabulous
response from many members and we are
delighted to announce that all of our waters
now have managers and/or bailiffs (only
Louth still needing assistance). This will
be a great help to the club by having a
person to contact but more importantly, our
waters will be far more protected from
poachers, litter louts, illegal angling etc.
Many thanks to all involved

Deepest Sympathy
It
is with my deepest regret and sorrow, I must
announce the very sad loss of my long time
friend and well known fisherman, Len
Hackshaw. Len had been suffering a long term
illness and sadly passed away on Saturday
12th. Len was a devoted angler and was
always very helpful to me personally but
always gave is assistance to anyone needing
a strong hand. My memory of him will always
be in the water, up to his neck at
Messingham Sands clearing reeds and creating
fishing areas. God bless you Len, let's all
hope you have gone fishing somewhere where
the sun shines on you and the fish bite all
day.
All
club members would like to extend their best
wishes to his family and friends at this sad
time.

the breeders, so should take your hook bait

a hooked bait before. Will all members

we are keen to know how well they grow and
what bait they thrive on. Thanks

Committee Statement
The
committee has recently held several meetings
with SDAA to access the possibility of
amalgamating the two clubs. These meetings
have looked at all aspects of a possible
merger and the advantages and disadvantages
which would affect our members. After
carefull consideration the committee has
decided that at this time such a merger
would not be in the best interest of our
members. It is our intention to continue the
growth and development of SPAC and further
enhance its reputation for quality and
value.

River Idle at Misterton
The club is pleased to announce that access
is now open along our full stretch of the
Idle at Misterton back towards the golf
course. A new gate has been installed with
one of our combination locks. Make sure you
close and lock the gate when you go through.
This will stop the horses following you or
escaping. We still need to do some work on
the banks re pegs, etc. The area is clean
and picturesque please keep it tidy. Thanks

31st October 09 Flixborough Pond
The club have introduced some ‘Fish Sanctuary Cages’ into the pond
today. We have been advised that these will
protect our fish from Cormorants & Gulls.
The cages are in between the roadside pegs
and clearly marked with floats/buoys at each
corner. We hope this does not spoil your
fishing and understand that they are in
place to protect the fish stocks. Thank you

Official club statement by the committee
(issued on 17/10/09)
It is with deep regret that we have to
inform our members, esp. the Specimen Carp
anglers; we have had to remove the biggest
Carp from our Flixborough water. We deeply
regret having to take this action, but
constant targeting by THEIVES left us no
other option and if we hadn't taken this
action the remaining few specimen Carp would
been lost as well.
There has been a lot of work going on behind
the scenes to protect our big Carp over the
past couple of months. Kev (bailiff) and the
game keeper Anthony, at Flixborough have put
many hours at the water, both night and day
to try and stamp out these fish thefts, the
only course of action we feel we had left
and to act in the best interest of the club
and its members was to remove the Carp to a
safe location. (All these fish have been
moved under a section 30)

LITTER
Litter is getting to be a serious problem on
our club waters. We seem to have attracted a
new breed of angler that consider it
acceptable to just leave whatever rubbish
they like on the bank. The SPAC club will
not tolerate litter being left, dumped or
overlooked. There is no excuse for this
behaviour. We, as a club have a duty to keep
the waters & the countryside around them
litter free. If caught you will be banned
from the club. So just to make it really clear:-
1. Tidy up when you leave.
2. Report anyone
leaving rubbish.
3. Do not let the club down.
4. We don't want you or your rubbish in our
club.

SPAC Fishing Reports
Further to a request by one of our more
devoted anglers (cheers Bill), I would like
to know how many club members would
appreciate & contribute to a section on this
site dedicated to fishing reports. As most
of you should know already there is a
section on the BigBash forum but I will
include one on here - just for our club
waters if you show enough interest.

Warping Drain - Full Stretch
I am so pleased to let all our members know,
we now have the full length of Warping
Drain. We were offered the remaining stretch
& could not turn it down. As all of you know
the drain is a beautiful stretch of man-made
river. It can fish it's head off with shoals
of big Bream & plenty of Tench.. Finding
them is an art but the surroundings are
peaceful & slow - unlike the water which can
run like the Trent at times! There are
Roach, Perch & even the odd few Carp which
escaped in there during the floods 2 years
ago and not forgetting Pike from little
Jacks to big bullies... Go and enjoy.

16th September 09
CARP SACKS & NETS - BAN !
It is with great regret that we must insist
that no-one keeps Carp in any way on our
venues.
I know this sounds drastic & punishes all of
you that enjoy seeing your end of session
haul but this new rule prevents damage to
Carp and our investment.
Regards Stu-Art
