Membership of the club is open to anyone aged 16 years or over, although this season the club intends to start a section exclusively for the juniors. Juniors aged 16 to 18 have the option of joining as an adult member in their own right, or remaining as a free accompanied guest but, if they choose to remain as a guest, clearly, they will not be permitted to visit the fisheries without their paid up member. Please keep an eye on this website for details of that junior section, developments of which are still in their infancy. (Also see below for our junior guest and partners scheme).

Membership runs from 16th June to 15th June each year, ie. Season to season. Clearly we cannot process all memberships on a single day so we open the ‘book’ on 16th March. You may send in for a membership, or renewal, any time after 16th March. (Please be careful as any membership issued prior to 16th March will expire on 15th June that same year and further payment shall be required.

If you are a new member your new pass will be valid immediately you receive it so you would not need to wait until 16th June prior to fishing our venues. Please note, however, that the Rivers Trent, Torne, Idle, and Witham, and the Warping Drain, all still close by law for the traditional closed season.

You may join by mail, sending your completed application form and payment to the club address, shown at the foot of the application form, or alternatively you can buy a membership pack over the counter at ‘Scunthorpe Tackle Centre’, 9 Laneham St, Scunthorpe, North Lincs, DN15 6LJ. Tel 01724 849815.  ( to find a Stockist near you click HERE )

Any person under 18 years, and a member’s spouse/ wife/ girlfriend, are eligible for a free accompanied guest pass and can accompany a member, adult or senior, at any of the fisheries. Such guests are not allowed to visit the fishery unaccompanied. Only those guests intending to fish need a guest permit. To obtain a guest permit please endorse the names of your intended guests on your application form. You can apply to have guest names added later but obviously it is much easier to do it when you 1st apply.

 PLEASE NOTE:

   New Members and/or Renewals

Please note, we are experiencing an increasing amount of trouble; especially at Lady Pitt where anglers are attempting to fish without a SPAC Permit. All our Bailiffs are instructed NOT to allow anyone to fish unless they can show their VALID PASS and NRA Rod Licence. There are no excuses and we (the club) do not except Paypal print-outs or letters from your mother as proof of membership. There have been one or 2 cases reported to me where membership passes have delayed & these have been traced to people paying by Paypal but not providing a valid postal address. We can't send your membership pack unless your address is registered with Paypal OR you add a note with the required address. Please be patient and do not fish until you have your membership permit. Thank you

You must be in possession of a current and valid membership permit before fishing at any of our venues. No payments whatsoever shall be taken on the bank. Members must also be in possession of a current national rod licence.

Fees for Adult members are £30 per year. (*£5 of which is to be specifically set aside for stocking of the new fishery at West Marsh Lane, Barrow Haven, see our waters section).

Fees for senior members are £15 per year. Senior membership is available to those in receipt of old age pension, (ie 65 or over).

Please make cheques payable to ‘Scunthorpe Police Angling Club’ (Not ‘Scunthorpe Pisces Angling Club)

To print our membership form Please Click JPEG or WORD you may send us your details along with your payment, thank you.

The relationship of a person under 18 to the member is not important but the guest must be someone you have a legal control over, such as your own children, grandchildren, nephews, nieces, or even your neighbours’ children. An adult would not be authorised to take their younger brother along, for instance. If in doubt please enquire first, your guests will be your own responsibility and will not be covered by the club’s third party liability insurance.

When you receive your permit you will also receive a 10% discount card for the Scunthorpe tackle Centre, this card is supplied to all S.P.A.C members as part of the membership.
