The environment agency works to improve water quality, habitat ,
rivers , streams and all general water quality and flow, they
improve fish stocks by maintaining, checking and restocking where
necessary under a strict management programme along with enforcement
of fishing bye-laws and the prevention of poaching to educate and
inform anglers and protect wildlife in general, if you find an
environmental emergency they run a 24 hour emergency hotline, to

Licence and Permits
Anyone 12 years or older will require a National Rod Licence as well
as any permissions or club permits to fish the water in question,
licences may be obtained from the Post office, some larger
fisheries, Regional Environment Agency Offices or by Telephoning
