RULES
The Pisces club must insist on the
following
rules:- barbless hooks only, no litter to
be left on the bank and positively
NO NIGHT FISHING !!
A total ban on dogs at ALL VENUES
Anglers are now only allowed to fish from
one designated peg or station at the
fisheries.
A maximum of 2 rods per angler at any one
time and rod butts must not be more than 3
metres apart.
The committee has the right to ban keepnets
at any venue where their use is causing
problems. Appropriate signage shall be
erected at the relevant fisheries and on
this website.
There is a total ban on keepnets at Thornton
Abbey except during matches.
The ban on keepnets at Lady Pitt Farm shall
also continue.
There is a total ban on the use of
‘livebait’ on all our waters.
********
Other rules imposed by either the land
owners or the Environment Agency are, no
overnight camping, and no fires.
Some of our waters have set rules to which
we must abide by, these will be published on
the itemised 'waters' page.
Please take time to read them before fishing
- ignorance is not an excuse
Please, even if you didn’t leave the
rubbish, pick it up and take it away. It
will only distract from your enjoyment of
the venue and attract vermin. This will also
save on the hours and hours certain members
put in every year in tidying up the
fisheries. We do accept the single barbed
trebles used by some pike anglers, where the
barbed hook is used only to mount the dead
bait.
To all
members visiting our Lady Pitt venue
Please Note: There are NO KEEPNETS allowed
on the lower stretch below the weir.
