Rules
There are very few rules in comparison with other clubs and, especially, commercial venues. The club, in fact, only dictates two rules, barbless hooks only, and no litter to be left on the bank. Please, even if you didn’t leave the rubbish, pick it up and take it away. It will only distract from your enjoyment of the venue and attract vermin. This will also save on the hours and hours certain members put in every year in tidying up the fisheries. We do accept the single barbed trebles used by some pike anglers, where the barbed hook is used only to mount the dead bait. Other rules, imposed by either the estate or the Environment Agency are, no night fishing, no overnight camping, and no fires. Fairly simple, isn’t it?

To all members visiting our Lady Pitt venue

Please Note: There are NO KEEPNETS allowed on the lower stretch below the weir.

YOU MUST HAVE A NEW STYLE ROD LICENCE FROM APRIL 1st 09 :-

The new fishing licence-year started on 1st April, so be sure to buy your new licence.

You can buy one now, at:

Don't forget the youngsters. A junior (12-16 years) licence is still only £5 for the year.

Remember - you'll need a second licence if you fish for carp or other coarse fish with three or four rods.

March 09 UpDate:

Important notice to all SPAC members.

It has come to my attention that large amounts of litter are being left at Medge Hall. Empty tins & bottles, paper wrappers, cloth rags, broken brollies even bits of carpet & laminate flooring.

All these things are not only very unsightly but harmful to the wildlife & damaging to the club name.

This venue is being spoiled by irresponsible members but I would like to point out again that ALL SPAC members have a duty to keep this picturesque little site & all of our other club waters clean & tidy. As you are all aware, we rent all our waters & have a responsibility to maintain them or lose them. All members must take rubbish home, anyone seen leaving rubbish will be banned from the club. Please support YOUR club.
