Wood
Lane
Pond,
North
Wheatley
: Use
DN22 9BQ
for
sat'nav'
This
is a
very
small
‘farm’
pond
with
about 15
pegs,
but it
is
crammed
with
good
quality
fish
including
Carp,
Tench,
and
Roach.
It will,
no
doubt,
be to
everyone’s
liking
but it
has been
acquired
to
further
the
club’s
ethos of
providing
a wide
variety
of
different
venues
to suit
whatever
your
chosen
style of
fishing.
This is
reported
to be a
nice
‘easy’
pond
where
you can
catch a
fair bag
of fish
in
relatively
comfortable
pegs.
To reach
this
fishery
you
travel
over the
Trent
bridge
at
Gainsborough
and take
the A620
towards
Retford.
As soon
as that
road
separates
into a
dual
carriageway
you take
the next
turning
right
into
Wood
Lane.
Drive
down the
hill
and, at
the
bottom,
turn
left
towards
the
fishery.
The pond
is on
the
right at
the end
of the
lane.
The pond
is brand
new to
us and
we have
not made
a deal
of
alterations
yet but
there
will be
one of
our
locks on
the
entrance
gate and
the pond
is well
signed.
